Please note that you can only be included in the ODIHR Election Experts database if:

• You have extensive election observation expertise and/or other relevant experience, and you are willing to accept assignments with ODIHR election observation missions, usually ranging from 4 to 8 weeks; or
• You have extensive experience in providing election technical assistance and wish to be involved in ODIHR short-term technical assistance projects, including review of election legislation, development of guidelines and handbooks, and training.

Long-term and Short-term Observers

Long-term and short-term observers are usually seconded to the ODIHR by OSCE participating States. Should you wish to become a long- or a short-term observer, please contact your respective OSCE delegation in Vienna or your Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In addition, if you are a citizen of one of the following countries -- Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Uzbekistan, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine-- you may be eligible to participate as a long- or short-term observer through a project to increase participation of observers from these OSCE participating States.
